Choosing to Lead: A leadership conference to inspire action for the coast we love. Join One Hundred Miles for their 2nd annual Coastal Conservation in Action: Choosing to Lead conference on January 13-14, 2018. Held on Jekyll Island, the two-day event includes interactive workshops led by conservation leaders from across the country, advocacy training with the renowned Midwest Academy, exhibitors, and inspirational speakers across five interactive tracks. Author and sea turtle biologist Dr. Wallace J. Nichols and author and Clemson University ornithologist Dr. Drew Lanham will deliver the keynote addresses. On Sunday, we’ll go behind the scenes at nearby coastal destinations, participate in a dialogue about community needs, and plan coastal action projects with new half-day field trips.
Don’t miss the exciting weekend! You’ll leave Choosing to Lead armed with new knowledge, skills, and the motivation to make a difference for the world around you. Following the conference on Saturday, please join us for our One Hundred Miles 100 reception – a celebration of the individuals and businesses making a difference for Georgia’s 100-mile coast.
