GWC Fall Partner Meeting

The next Georgia Water Coalition partner meeting will be held at Georgia Wildlife Federation’s headquarters in Covington, GA on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Join us in the morning for  presentations and two concurrent workshops. Then enjoy shrimp and pasta for lunch outside at the pavilion. After lunch we will have updates on our priority issues and additional presentations immediately followed by an Oyster Roast Happy Hour and Networking back down at the Pavilion. Bring your staff and volunteers. Bring your board members and interns. You don’t want to miss our annual fall GWC partner meeting!

9:00 – 12:00 Morning Session –

A. Using Social Media to Create Winning Messages - Chandra Brown, Consultant
Gain new supporters and influence decision makers. This session will give you some tools, tricks and techniques to develop social media campaigns. We will cover the science behind online engagement, the basics of a social media campaign, and how to use social media to hone your message and find influencers.

B. Plan Your Impact! Create an Inspired Strategic Plan to Guide Your Water Work - April Ingle, Consultant
This workshop is for staff, board members, volunteers or interns who would like a USEFUL and INSPIRED strategic plan to guide your work to protect, restore and/or get more people out on your river. This workshop will demystify the strategic planning process and teach you what you need to know to create a plan that you’ll actually use and can serve as your map and compass to achieve the impact you want.The truth is that there are no special tricks or talents required to develop a strategic plan, but there are important steps to follow. In this engaging, informative and inspiring workshop we’ll learn what those steps are, how to navigate them, and how to put your strategic plan to use to guide your staff and interns and engage and empower your board and volunteers.
